DESCRIPTION:Meet Martin Bergö – guest speaker at KI Science Park Science After Work\nWelcome to the cozy AWL cafe\, Innomedicum for networking\, knowledge sharing and fun after the working day. \nWe have a special guests this evening: Martin Bergö\, Professor department of medicine Huddinge\, and Vice President at Karolinska Institutet\, who will talk about his research in the field of Oxidative stress\, antioxidants\, and tumor progression. \nRegister here! \nMartin Bergö is a leading figure in molecular medicine\, internationally recognized for his groundbreaking research on cancer progression\, oxidative stress\, aging\, and rare genetic disorders. \nBeyond academia\, Martin Bergö is active in the public debate\, often contributing to discussions around the use of supplements and the role antioxidants play to accelerated growth of tumours.\nIn his current role as Vice President of Karolinska Institutet\, he plays a key part in implementing Strategy 2030\, with a strong emphasis on fostering a sustainable\, innovative\, and collaborative research environment. He is also a member of the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet. \nPreviously\, he served as Academic Vice President for Research\, where he strengthened KI’s national and international research networks.
