Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset/Region Stockholm och Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan har fått äran att stå som värdar. Mötesplatsen kommer att bli BioClinicum som är hopbyggd med Nya Karolinska Solna. BioClinicum är ett nav för preklinisk forskning och är utformad för att öka integrationen mellan forskning\, utbildning och vård.  MTD är en viktig mötesplats för medicinsk teknik som Svensk Medicinteknisk Förening (MTF) arrangerar nu för 20:e gången. \nUnder MTD:s inspirerande dagar erbjuds intressanta plenarföreläsningar\, senaste nytt inom MT-området\, paneldiskussioner\, leverantörs- samt forskningspresentationer med speciellt fokus på tre områden som har hög aktualitet – AI-tillämpningar\, innovation och digitala lösningar. Traditionsenligt presenteras också en industriell utställning! En annan viktig målsättning med MTD är att erbjuda en mötesarena som främjar nätverkande och nationella samarbetsinitiativ för att ytterligare föra det medicintekniska området framåt. \nMTD samlar branschens alla viktiga intressenter\, såsom den medicintekniska ingenjörskåren\, medicintekniska forskare\, företag och experter\, representanter för hälso- och sjukvården\, myndigheter och landets medicintekniska kluster för två gemensamma dagar. \nHälso- och sjukvården i Sverige måste kraftsamla för att ytterligare effektivisera sitt arbete\, och här har bland annat digitalisering och medicintekniska innovationer sin självklara plats som viktiga pusselbitar i den fortsatta utvecklingen.
