Science After Work: Unravelling the Molecular Secrets of Exercise

May 12 @ 16:30 - 19:00

Welcome to KI Science Park Science After Work!

Join us for an engaging Science After Work with Dr. Jessica Norrbom, molecular biologist and Senior Lecturer at Karolinska Institutet. Dr. Norrbom’s research explores the molecular responses in human skeletal muscle to different types of physical activity — helping us understand why exercise has such powerful effects on our bodies at a cellular level.

In this relaxed setting, Jessica will dive into her current research — from the molecular signals that shape muscle adaptation to the latest insights her work has uncovered on exercise physiology.

Beyond the lab bench, she is also an acclaimed science communicator, co-author of books on health and training and co-host of the podcast Frisk utan flum, where she bridges the world of science and everyday life.

Whether you’re curious about the science behind exercise or how research translates to everyday health, this is a great opportunity to learn from one of Sweden’s active voices in physiology and public science communication.
