We’re pleased to welcome Björn Sjöstrand, co-founder and CEO of Scandinavian Biopharma, as our guest speaker at the August edition of Business Breakfast. With a long-standing career in vaccines and biopharmaceutical technologies, Björn will share insights from developing ETVAX, the world’s most clinically advanced vaccine for ETEC-induced diarrhoea, targeting travelers and children in low- and middle-income countries and how they have secured multiple public and private funding partnerships.
Under Björn’s leadership, Scandinavian Biopharma has built a successful specialty pharma distribution business in Europe. In 2024, the company signed a joint procurement agreement with the European Commission’s Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) for the supply of diphtheria antitoxin—a testament to its growing impact in global and European health.
